Pemiscot Memorial Hospital offers a variety of acute care services including:
• a 7-bed Intensive Care Unit staffed by highly-skilled nurses specially trained to care for patients that require intense monitoring and a higher level of care. Computerized bedside monitoring with centralized monitoring capabilities allows the nurses to closely monitor the patients both in and out of the patient rooms.
• round-the-clock care for any acute illness, injury or surgery requiring an overnight stay. The staff of well-qualified RNs and LPNs are trained to recognize changes in the patients' conditions and respond appropriately.
• an Obstetrics department with a conveniently-located nursery.
• a 24-hour Emergency Room with a highly-trained nursing staff and on-duty physician available to provide care for any unexpected health problem.
