Computed radiography or digital radiography enhances the overall capabilities of our Radiology Department. An RIS/PACS computer system provides the department the ability to perform all exams electronically and stores the image in a computer allowing the image to be viewed by the medical staff anywhere a computer is accessible.
All the radiology personnel employed by PMHS are certified and registered ARRT technologists. Completion of a formal AMA approved institution is required prior to completion of a national registry to receive a license to perform and provide services. The radiology department provides more than 25,000 procedures annually for the local community.
